Taking advantage of the summer period and while waiting for new parts and harware for the next MHD experiments, we continue developing the UFOCatch® in parallel.
The second version, UFOCatch®v2, is much more impressive by it size, but also much more flexible than the first version (cf pictures).
A multi-devices mounting adaptor now allows the integration of a telescope equiped with a camera, a camcorder, a high sensitivity camera dedicated to spectroscopy. Up to 6 different imaging devices can be mounted – depending on their size.
Primarilly intended for fieldworks, it is equiped with handles to ease transportation and designed to face harsh weather conditions (a protective dome can be added). Its weigth provides a good stability during accelaration movements.
